DENNIS Hand secured a crucial win for Central Club to keep them second in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League last week.
Central took on the Gardeners in a closely-fought battle which went to 3-3 before Hand's exceptional darts clinched the final game.
Elsewhere, fourth-placed Cringlewood played against third-placed British Rail in another tight match which also went down to the final game before Cringlewood won.
League leaders Timperley Cons played against the Old Hall, taking the points with a 6-1 win.
