TRAFFORD Council and Thrive Trafford have partnered with Greater Sport's ‘Volunteer Inspire Programme’ (VIP) in a bid to increase the number of sport and physical activity volunteers across the borough and throughout Greater Manchester.
The programme, a Greater Sport initiative, has been launched in partnership with all 10 boroughs within Greater Manchester with more than 6,500 volunteers already signed up to about 750 opportunities, including sporting events, taking place in Greater Manchester.
Trafford VIP will give volunteers the opportunity to sign up for events posted by a number of organisations including Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester United Foundation, Red Rose Forest and Trafford Leisure.
