AN Urmston schoolboy was a surprise name on the substitutes bench for Manchester United's Premier League tie with West Brom on Saturday.
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was an ex-pupil at St Anthony's Catholic College in Urmston and came off the bench with 14 minutes remaining to make his debut for the Old Trafford side.
Borthwick-Jackson was a member of United's 2014 Milk Cup-winning squad in Northern Ireland and earned his place due to his versatility.
"Cameron has been excellent really this season," United U21s coach Warren Joyce said.
"He has gone from strength to strength."
