SEVENTEEN-year-old Furkan Hassan hit a six off the last ball of the game on Saturday to secure all 25 points for Urmston's first team against Timperley.
Timperley started steadily with a stand of 42 before Michael Ness fell for 18 to Matthew Parkinson.
A big partnership between Dan Cooper and Asif Iqbal saw Timperley reach 200 off 45 overs. Urmston battled hard in the last few overs to restrict Timperley to 226-6.
A fine effort considering the good batting conditions. Mattthew Parkinson putting in a marathon 23 over shift on his way to 4-99 and he was well backed up with Zeeshan Assi (2-75).
Urmston had a great start to their innings with the ever reliable Calum Turner (55) and Brad Yates (46) putting on 99 for the first wicket.
With only 127 needed off 25 overs Urmston continued to lose wickets at frequent intervals which included two run outs.
It was left to Kris Dickinson who blasted his way to 38 not out and Hassan (9 not out) to finish a off a nail biting game where both sides could have easily won.
