EMIRATES Old Trafford will play host to more than 4,000 schoolchildren on the first day of Lancashire's county championship match against Northamptonshire on Monday.
The day is part of ‘The Lancashire Way’, a joint project which Lancashire County Cricket Club, LCCC Foundation and the Lancashire Cricket Board are undertaking throughout 2015.
All three parties are working closely together to promote inclusivity and to raise the participation levels of cricket across our region through six key initiatives.
As well as watching cricket action on the day, the children will also take part in a whole host of physical, fun and educational activities in a specially created Activity Zone which will be operated by the LCCC Foundation, local community groups, RAF, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire Service and the Armed Forces.
Prizes will be presented throughout the day to schools including coaching sessions at the Indoor Cricket Centre.
