A YOUNG snowboarder from Flixton added to her impressive tally of medals, when she won the U-16 Women’s section at the Scottish Indoor Freestyle Championships.

Ten-year-old Bradie Zimmer-Collins, who already holds the title of British Indoor U-13 Champion, took part in the annual competition held in Glasgow, and, despite having to ride in the older category, took the gold medal.

Bradie, who has just started at Urmston Junior school, learnt to board two years ago and, following a fantastic first competitive season, was offered sponsorships by Ride Snowboards and indoor snow dome Chill Factore, where she first strapped on a board.

But Bradie says the medals are just a bonus of doing something she loves: “The best thing about competitions are meeting up with all my friends, and travelling around the country with some of my team mates.

“My coach at Chill Factore always says to just have fun and that’s what I always do.”
