ONE of the UK’s top divorce lawyers, Marilyn Stowe, has celebrated her firm’s first anniversary in Cheshire by promoting one of the senior team to managing partner at Stowe Family Law’s Hale office.

Robin Charrot, who has headed the firm’s Hale office since it opened a year ago, has been brought into the partnership to further expand the North West division.

Stowe Family Law LLP, a 43-strong practice based across Cheshire and Yorkshire, is acknowledged as one of the north of England’s leading family law firms and attracts clients from around the world.

Its team includes 16 lawyers, including an Anglo-German lawyer and fully-trained mediators, plus, unusually, for a family law firm - two forensic accountants who specialise in tracking down hidden assets.

Marilyn Stowe, senior partner at Stowe Family Law said: “Robin’s appointment is strategic to our expansion. The Cheshire office has grown to a team of eight within its first year, despite the challenging financial climate. Further dynamic developments are in the pipeline.”

Robin Charrot, who joined Stowe Family Law a year ago after heading up the family law department at Jersey firm Carey Olsen, said: “It is tremendous to have been acknowledged for playing a pivotal role in the success of Stowe Family Law’s Hale office.

"We are not only attracting clients from Greater Manchester, but are also dealing with daily enquiries and taking on new commissions from across the North West.”

Marilyn Stowe’s trailblazing career has included being appointed the first Chief Assessor and Chief Examiner of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel.

Mrs Stowe is also recognised by the Legal 500 Series, an independent and definitive guide to the legal market in more than 70 countries as “a high profile divorce practitioner renowned for the energy she expends on behalf of her clients".
