A BROOKLANDS dental practice has won the prestigious British Dental Association Dental Practice of the Year award.
The 21 staff members at Marple Road Dental Practice are all smiles after beating 1,800 other entries and being particularly praised for their patient care.
Clinical director, Ian Hunt, said: “We’re delighted to win this accolade. It reflects our real team effort and is a wonderful reward for the hard work and care the team provide each day.”
He added:”This is the award everyone in our industry wants, so we’re thrilled to achieve it.”
The competition involved an inspection of the practice’s oral healthcare and the judges visiting the surgery itself, which does not happen in any other dental competition.
Dental nurse Helen Maloney was also singled out for special praise, she said: “It’s wonderful to have won this award, it’s a real team effort, but I was thrilled to get a special mention!”
