MARKS & Spencer in Altrincham is holding a family fun day on Sunday, July 26 at the Stonemasons Arms in Timperley.

The event will raise funds for the Snowdrop Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital's maternity ward.

It will start at noon and feature a barbecue, bouncy castle, disco, raffle and charity auction.

Staff at the George Street store organised the fun day as part of the company’s pledge to raise £1.25 million in 125 days for community charities to mark the retailer’s 125th anniversary celebrations.

The Snowdrop Unit provides care and support for bereaved women and their families during their stay in hospital following the death of their baby.
