A CONVICTED killer, whose last known address was Stretford, has handed himself in after absconding from a Derbyshire open prison.
William Reddican, 56, was sentenced to life imprisonment in May 1982 for murder.
He was released from the life sentence on licence but was convicted of assault at Trafford Magistrates’ Court in February 2005, and was sent back to prison. He has been serving his sentence at Sudbury Open Prison in south Derbyshire.
On Saturday he failed to return to HMP Sudbury from a period of temporary leave but he handed himself back into custody at a Derby police station yesterday evening.
