URMSTON was pretty in pink over the weekend as the town came together to help in the fight against breast cancer.
The successful Paint Urmston Pink event took place on Saturday April 15 in aid of Prevent Breast Cancer.
The one-day extravaganza, which was organised with The Urmston Partnership, saw the town transformed into a pink haven in a bid to raise funds.

Eden Square was the main base on Saturday, with entertainment provided by Wayne Devlin and the Sweet Rhythm Big Band throughout the day.
As it is Easter Weekend, there was pink-themed kid friendly entertainment from entertainment company Messages PR.
Cadets were out in force to help raise vital funds for Prevent Breast Cancer
Thirty Trafford Police Cadets bag packed in Sainsbury’s and Cheeky Cherubs, in Victoria Parade, held a fun day, with live music, a face painter, bouncy castle, and more.
Various businesses flew Prevent Breast Cancer’s special pink bunting and offered pink treats in store.
Residents and businesses got into the spirit of the day with all things pink
Miss Ellie’s Travel have also offered to donate £10 from each holiday sold over the Bank Holiday Weekend to the charity.
Urmston Artisan Market staged their own event on April 1 to kick off the fundraising by turning the market, including even some of their produce, pink in support of the charity.
