FIREFIGHTERS sprung into action after a woman suffered steam burns after opening the bonnet of her overheated car parked outside the fire station.
The crews came across the incident outside their station in Cranleigh Drive, in Sale, shortly after 2pm on Sunday March 12.
The motorist had opened the bonnet of her car after it overheated, resulting in steam burns to her face.
Firefighters applied burns dressings to the woman’s face and provided advice about vehicle safety.
Crews attended for around 20 minutes.
