Man charged after gun and silencer found in house raid
A 29-YEAR-OLD Stretford man has been charged with firearms offences after a raid yesterday morning.
Choudhry Altaf, of Kings Road, has been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of a silencer.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates’ this morning, Tuesday February 28.
On Monday February 27, officers from the Challenger Manchester Team and Xcalibre Task Force executed a warrant on Kings Road.
Officers recovered a handgun, a silencer and a quantity of ammunition.
