ALTRINCHAM’S Loose Change Buskers had a lucrative weekend on behalf of Cancer Research UK.
The group collected £2690 playing at Eden Square, Urmston, on Friday and Saturday (November 18 and 19), at Didsbury Rugby Club and Tesco Altrincham.
The group has now collected a total of £315,000 for the charity since being set up less than seven years ago.
The group's co-founder, Bernard Dolan, said: "Brilliant, but tough weekend, played in awful conditions, but the amount of money made it worthwhile."
This weekend. the group is playing at Wythenshawe Civic Centre on Saturday morning and at West Didsbury Market on Sunday morning.
