CYCLING superstars Laura Trott and Jason Kenny called into an Altrincham school last Friday.
Pupils from Altrincham Girls’ Grammar School got a chance to meet newly weds and multi Olympic gold medal winners Laura Trott and Jason Kenny.
The couple, who have just returned from their honeymoon, were visiting the area to promote their new book 'The Inside Track'.
Pupils from Altrincham Girls’ School met with Laura Trott and Jason Kenny on Friday, when the Olympic medal winners visited the school.
The couple took part in a question and answer session with the students, advising them on cycling, training, careers and motivation before taking time for pictures and autographs.
They even revealed where their medals are kept - with their mums.
“It was very good, they were really inspirational,” said Charlotte Reed, a Year 10. pupil
“It was nice to meet them and realise that they are normal people. It was amazing,” added Sarah Wide, from Year 9.
Headteacher, Stephanie Gill, added: "This was such an honour for the school and really inspiring for the students. We're proud of our sporting heritage and were delighted to welcome Laura and Jason to Altrincham as part of their busy tour.”
The Team GB pair boast 10 Olympic golds between them.
They live in a cottage just outside Knutsford.
