POLICE officers and a helicopter were scrambled to Broadheath yesterday afternoon after a fight broke out on the street.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Princess Street and Craven Road at around 12noon on Tuesday October 11.
They had received reports that three men were fighting on the street, one of whom was believed to have a weapon.
One man was treated for facial injuries by the ambulance service and another was detained by police on suspicion of assault but was released without being arrested.
A police helicopter was deployed in the search for a third man but he was not found.
Enquiries are ongoing.
