FIVE men ganged up on a woman in an attempt to steal her phone in Timperley at the weekend.
The woman was walking alone near the junction of Langham Grove and Heyes Lane at around 8pm on Saturday, October 8, when she was stopped by a group of five men.
The men demanded the woman hand over her phone but the woman refused and managed to run to safety.
No-one was harmed.
Following the incident, police are warning people to be vigilant when out on alone and to be aware of their surroundings.
