TO celebrate Manchester being awarded as the European City of Science 2016, the Stamford Quarter is inviting Trafford's mini Einsteins, Newtons and Darwins for two days of 'Mad Science Mayhem' this week.
Families are invited to explore science with Vortex Adventures and Slime Time workshops from 11am – 4pm on Thursday and Friday, August 18 and 19. All demonstrations and workshops are provided free of charge.
Shoppers will be able to take time out of their shopping trip to watch three Mad Scientists demonstrate the power of vortices and create colourful whirlwinds with air blasters. Then, things are guaranteed to get slimey as the Mad Scientists will be helping young mini-scientists create their very own slime to take home.
The Stamford Quarter will also be searching for its very own Director of Fun. To enter, parents and children simply need to message the Stamford Quarter Facebook page and say in no more than 20 words why they should be crowned the Stamford Quarter's Director of Fun.
The lucky winner will win £100 worth of goodies from the centre, and will lead this year’s Christmas Lantern Parade.
