A MAN believed to be notorious gangster, Dominic Noonan, has been arrested on suspicion of raping a man in a Stretford house.
Police were called to the address on Monday, May 19, following reports a man in his 20s has been raped.
A 49-year-old man, who Messenger understands to be Noonan, was arrested on suspicion of rape the following day and remains in police custody for questioning.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Specially trained officers are supporting the victim and enquiries are continuing.”
Noonan, who has changed his name to Domenyk Lattlay-Fottfoy, was also charged with public nuisance on May 17.
The charge follows a protest stunt he staged earlier this month, in which he climbed to the top of a ferris wheel in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens and refused to come down for six hours.
Noonan and his family became nationally well known after starring in a series of documentaries made by Donal McIntyre, including ‘A Very British Gangster’ in 2007.
