A DAD Has raised more than £10,000 for Wythenshawe Hospital-based breast cancer charity, Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention, following a mammoth trek from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Peter Lindsay, from Stockport, took on the gruelling challenge in memory of his late wife, Anita, who lost her battle with breast cancer two years ago.
The ambitious journey saw Peter walk over 1,000 miles, passing the UK’s scenic coastlines and countryside in varying weather conditions. With the journey starting at Land’s End, he travelled through the western side of England, before heading into Scotland and walking via Glasgow to reach his final destination of John O’Groats.
Peter’s Just Giving page is still active and accepting donations. If you wish to support Peter and Genesis, visit: https://www.justgiving.com/walkforanita/ or want to find out more about the work of Genesis and how to get involved, visit: https://genesisuk.org/
