HALE-based Neil Walker, personal trainer at Hale Fitness, is celebrating completion of the Bob Graham Round.
Neil joins an elite group of runners in the 50-year history of the event who have completed the circuit of at least 66 miles - comprising 42 of the highest peaks in the Lake District - in under 24 hours.
Neil saluted the role of his race team, drawn from his family, fell-running friends and members of Altrincham Running Club, who played a critical role in providing on-course support during the race on July 25 to 26.
He said: “This event has given me a unique perspective into the importance of team-work for ultra-runners, fell-runners, or indeed anyone who wants to achieve their fitness goals.”
Neil is looking forward to sharing the insights gained in his epic fell-running experience with new and existing clients across the Sale and Altrincham area: “Whether you just want to get fit, or are training for an endurance event and need a custom training schedule, there are valuable lessons that can be learned.”
