ORANGE was the colour of the night as Orangetheory Fitness officially opened its new Altrincham studio on Saturday.

The studio, based at 4 George Street, Altrincham, has been running classes throughout December to its early adopter ‘founder members’, and is now open to the public following an official ribbon cutting at the launch event with the Mayor of Altrincham, the President of the Guild of the Freemen of Altrincham and the Bellman. Over 180 people attended the event, where they were treated to food and drink, a live DJ, and live workout demos. The studio team were also on hand to welcome guests and explain more about what makes an Orangetheory Fitness workout so unique. Attendees also took part in a raffle for prizes provided by local brands such as Lululemon and Realbuzz. Members also received a fitness goodie bag to help them achieve their exercise goals for 2019.

With new year goals on the minds of many, Orangetheory Fitness also announced details of its eight-week transformation challenge which starts on the 21st January. The challenge offers members the chance to develop the groundwork for changing their lifestyle habits and begin transforming their body. Participants are part of a supportive team, and prizes are awarded based on Orangetheory’s Boditrax body composition scanner.

Orangetheory Fitness classes offer a one-hour, full-body workout, focused on training endurance, strength and power. Backed by the science of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (or EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored-training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy, which results in burning more calories post-workout than traditional exercise.

Adam Bowerman, Studio Manager at Orangetheory Fitness Altrincham said: “We couldn’t be happier with how the event turned out. Loads of people came to see what makes the Orangetheory experience so unique and I definitely think they were impressed by what they saw! We’re excited to continue building our relationship with the community here in Altrincham.”

The first Orangetheory Fitness studio launched in Florida in 2010 and the brand has since expanded to over 1,000 studios in 17 countries. Altrincham is the first town outside of London in the UK to become home to Orangetheory Fitness, with the brand looking to open 40 new studios across the Midlands and Northern England by 2026.
