IT and EPSOS provider in Altrincham has been awarded the highest possible accolade by its biggest customer, McDonald’s.

Odema, provider to the hospitality and retail sector won IT supplier of the year 2017 at the McDonald’s Annual General Meeting held in Villamoura, Portugal.

CEO of the company, Nigel Davis, accepted the award for Odema’s “philosophy of outstanding service.”

Vice President of IT Services at McDonalds, Henry Trickey, described Nigel as a “person who embodies the collaborative partner approach that McDonald’s value so much.”

He said: “To this day we know that we can pick up the phone to him with a challenging project, a drive thru down in need of immediate assistance and we will always get a result to standards and excellency he has built within the company”

The award is nicknamed the three-legged stool award - based off American businessman, Ray Kroc’s business Model that states: “Just as all three legs of a stool need to be equal to support the weight, all three elements of the McDonald’s system are equally important partners in McDonalds’s success”.

Nigel said: “It is with great pride and honour to announce that Odema were last night presented with the highest award McDonalds can give to a supplier. I can only say Thank You to all for making this award possible.

"Odema were chosen by the Vice Presidents from McDonalds UK and I was presented the trophy by Paul Pomroy, Henry Trickey, Jason Clarke and Vernon Kay in front of an audience of over 700 people at their AGM in Portugal - amazing and well done to all my team for their tremendous and never ending hard work”
