SLATER Heelis LLP has increased the number of employees in its Timperley office making it to a team of eight in response to the growth in the commercial and residential property market in South Manchester.

The office specialises in conveyancing from private clients, investors and property developers.

Stephen Locke, who heads the team, said: “In spite of the recession, prices and movement of property, South Manchester and the surrounding areas have remained fairy robust and the last couple of years in particular have seen a real growth in confidence. “ He added: “Developments such as Airport City and the tram expansion have meant a growth in both commercial property sales and demand for new homes as people move into the area to fill newly created jobs.”

Mr Locke joined Slater Heelis LLP as a partner in 2013 making the firm the successor practice of Nicholls Locke, which is a leading property law company in South Manchester.

The company was awarded Lexcel, the national Law Society’s quality mark for running for 11 years.

It has offices in South Manchester and Manchester city centre.
