FOLLOWING success in Iceland and the USA, new restaurant chain, SAFFRAN, HAS selectED Manchester as its first city for its European expansion.

SAFFRAN, which opened at the Trafford Centre this week, is inspired by its spice namesake; offering a menu of fresh, exotic ingredients that’s a fusion of the world’s greatest tastes and cuisines.

Jay Jamchi, president at SAFFRAN, commented: “Our chefs have travelled the world to create a menu that offers a variety of taste for consumers young and old. By only using natural ingredients, (we don’t use any white flour, white sugars, or MSG ingredients in our menu) making our own sauces, dressings and breads, and not frying any food, we are able to keep the taste high, yet the calories low.

“The reason why we’ve selected Manchester as our launch city is because the prominence The Trafford Centre offers. People of the North West have a reputation for great style and great taste. With hundreds of different cuisines available within Greater Manchester, we thought we could offer diners something they’ve not tasted before – that tastes great, and is also healthy.”

The 300msq restaurant has a seating capacity of 150 diners, and has created 20 jobs.
