A FATAL road traffic collision has forced the closure of the A56 in both directions in Broadheath, resulting in traffic chaos across the south of the borough.
At 8.25 ambulance services requested the police to the scene of a crash on the A56’s junction with Lindsell Road where a car had been involved in collision with a motorcyclist.
At 8.32am the driver of the motorcycle, a silver Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are at the scene and are talking to the 19-year-old French driver of a French plated Opel Corsa.
The A56 remains closed.
