Captain Cod chip shop owner Dan Madylus was delighted to hear he'd been nominated for the Counter Action campaign.
Dan, 49, says his business on Northenden Road, Sale, has been established for 21 years. When told about his nomination he said: "It's very nice, it feels good. It's nice to know people appreciate good food!"
Reader Ann Summerfield, a satisfied customer of Captain Cod's chip shop said: "It is a pleasure to have lunch at Captain Cod's chip shop in Sale. Simply the best for miles, the happy staff are always willing to help, nothing is too much trouble. The fish, chips and all the other food are delicious. They also make a lovely cup of tea!"
The happy-to-help staff have been working there for quite some time, one member has been part of the staff for 20 years, while another has been there for 11 years.
They say the thing that makes customers keep coming back is the quality of food and service. Dan prides himself on selling quality traditional fish and chips since the shop opened.
