Robins Needs New Friends

Flixton Flames player Robin Cooper is hoping that his first season playing Roller Hockey will not be his last.

ROBIN was one of a number of local juniors who were part of Flixton Flames Roller Hockey team that last year competed in the Manchester In Line Hockey League for the first time.

Such was their success that the Pee-Wees finished a magnificent third and it looked like this coming year they would be real title contenders.

Unfortunately management problems at the end of the season meant that Flixton Flames could not continue and would therefore have to be dissolved resulting in a number of the existing players moving on.

However good terms never die and as a result of player's wishes to continue a new management group has been established and a meeting of parents will take place on Monday 23rd August at 7pm at George Carnell centre.

So if you have a youngster who would like to play or wish to know more about playing Roller Hockey please come along or contact Sue O'Connell on 202 9300 or Liz Graham on 748 8395.
