EXOTIC foreign locations and cordon bleu menus didn't get a look-in with eight year-old Kyle Gormley when it came to naming his ideal day.

The eight year-old plumped for the attractions of Blackpool and a fast food meal for dinner and tea. And his parochial tastes won Kyle and his family a break at his favourite holiday location, in a competition by radio station Picadilly Key 103.

Tomorrow (Friday) a stretch limousine will pick up Kyle, his mum and dad, Carol and Mike, and brother and sister, Rebecca, five and James, 10. The family will be put up for two nights at an hotel in Blackpool, with £200 spending money.

The competition challenged listeners to describe their ideal day, and the St Hugh's RC Primary School pupil told presenter Mike Toolan about his on the station's breakfast show. Kyle's mum, Carol, of Woodstock Road, Broadheath, says: "We have been to Blackpool before but have never stopped overnight. He was very excited when he won the prize especially as all his friends had heard him on the radio."
