FORMER England and Manchester United footballer Nobby Stiles, who lives in Stretford, has been awarded an MBE for services to football.
Nobby was a member of England's only World Cup winning side in 1966, and also won the European Cup with Manchester United in 1968.
The midfield general is famous for his toothless grin and his bone-crunching tackles.
