A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a collision with a car in Stretford on Tuesday evening.
The accident took place at the junction of Chester Road and White City Way at 11pm. The victim, who has not been identified, was travelling north along Chester Road towards Manchester on a Kawasaki motorbike.
He turned into White City Way and collided with a Hyundai Lantra, driven by Andrew Baker, of Gorton, which was heading towards Salford.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, and he was taken to Trafford General Hospital. There was a four hour road closure after the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information should call the Trafford Traffic Unit on 856 7772.
