ON A surprsingly good wicket considering the weekends weather, Timperley 4th won the toss and put Alsager into bat.
A superb bowling and fielding performance led to the visitors being dismissed for 49 in 29 overs, with three wickets for S Capel and two each for D Neville and S Spencer.
The Alsager target shouldn't have been a problem but Timperley lost both openers without a run being scored and two further quick wickets fell to leave the home side reeling on 8 for 4.
Skipper, S Enwistle, joined youngster Tom Jackson at the wicket and between them put on 36 for the 5th wicket before Enwistle was adjudged lbw on 21.
Jackson batted very maturely to finish on 18 not out as the winning total was reached, for the loss of five wickets, in 17 overs.
