THE weather got the best of Brooklands CC's this weekend.
The first and second XI's games against Poynton and the third team fixture against Oxton all ending after only one innings.
The only completed game was the First XI Cup fixture against Bowdon on Sunday.
Batting first, Brooklands had a good start and were poised for a big score at 91/1 with 20 overs remaining.
However, after Neil Ogden (48) and Rob Bywater (37) were out, Brookland's innings faltered to a disappointing 144 a.o.
On a good wicket against a strong Bowdon side this was never going to prove enough as Bowdon sealed a six wicket win with four overs to spare.
