A THIRTY two year old father suffered a broken left arm during a 'road rage' attack last Saturday morning.

The Bolton man was turning off the M60 at junction 10, on his way to the Trafford Centre when the incident occurred at around 11.15am.

He flashed his lights at the motorist, who had overtaken him on the inside in a red Citroen car.

When they stopped at traffic lights, the Citroen driver walked towards the victim's blue Fiat Scudo van, grabbed him, pushed him against his van before he fell to the floor and broke his left arm in four places.

The culprit then returned to his vehicle and fled.

DS Phill Wrenn from Stretford station told SUM: "This vicious attack took place in broad daylight at a busy junction of the motorway and there will have been a lot of traffic around at the time.

"We are urging anyone who did see the attack to come forward in confidence."

The suspect white, in his late 20s, five feet nine inches tall and of large build. He had short brown hair and wore a red shirt. Anyone with information should call Stretford police on 856-7669 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
