SEYMOUR Park will be transformed on Saturday for the Old Trafford Millennium Picnic in the Park.
There will be something for everyone at the extravaganza on June 10, which is billed as the biggest local millennium celebration.
The event will be a mixture of sporting events, including five-a-side football and cricket, and musical entertainment.
There will also be a martial arts display, a community radio roadshow and children's entertainment on offer.
Kirsten Proctor, one of the event's organisers, said: "We have been planning this event for about 12 months. We are hoping to make it a yearly event. A local resident wrote to us asking if we could arrange something of this sort, to show what Old Trafford is all about. We want to celebrate the area's diversity."
The celebrations start at 12 noon and continue until 6pm. Entry will be free, but there will be charges for some events.
