URMSTON Badgers U16s hockey side were in sparkling form again beating old rivals North Staffordshire 7-0 at the weekend.
The team were in fine form and could have doubled the score but for the brilliance of the Staffs goalkeeper, while his counterpart in the Urmston net, Peter Wyatt, touched the ball once during the whole game.
Fullbacks Peter Wood, Stefan Wasilewski and Ben Dutton frequently went on excursions up field to help the attack, while the midfield of John Crossley, Matt Hallinan, Kris Wood and Chris Brumwell ran the show.
Peter Hallinan was a driving force up front dazzling Staffs with his dribbling skills, while Ashley Wasilewski and Chris Brumwell both scored.
Star of the show was Andy Power, full back for the seconds for most of the year, who showed what a force up front he is, scoring four - one a fine strike into the top corner.
John Crossley scored his usual trademark reverse stick flick.
The two seniors in the side Derek Milne and Simon Dains at the back could only stand and admire the juniors' skills.
