DANCE giants Massive Attack will headline this year's Creamfields festival on Merseyside.

The world's top DJs were confirmed last Friday on the Pete Tong show, with Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules and Cream resident Nick Warren also confirmed.

Creamfields brings together 10 arenas, hosted by: Radio One Outdoor Stage, Bugged Out! Cream Future Trance, Radio One Essential Mix, Frantic & Nukleuz presenting Hardware, Subliminal, Sunday Best, and the return of the Chill Out Arena, Mixmag Future Heroes and the Strongbow Rooms.

Also spinning fat grooves is King of Ibiza Tiesto, with Erick Morillo, Dave Clarke, Pete Tong, Timo Maas, Mauro Picotto, Fergie, U.N.K.L.E. Sounds, UMEK, Erol Alkan, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and many more.

But Bristol's Massive Attack are the top drawer, who have blossomed into one of the UK's most influential bands and remained darlings of the hip hop/dance scene with the massive successes Blue Lines and Mezzanine.

And their crown shows no sign of slipping following the recent release of 100th Window which reached No.1 in eight countries and their current tour selling out in record quick time.

The event takes place at the Old Liverpool Airfield, Speke Boulevard, on August 23, from 3pm-6am.

Tickets costing £47 are available from the Piccadilly Box Office on 0870 242 7326.
