SATURDAY Night Fever comes to Manchester's Palace Theatre on Monday May 19.

The decade defining soundtrack, the sensational story, the slick moves and that suit will captivate audiences through its three-week run.

Set in Brooklyn the show focuses on Tony Manero - a humble paint store assistant by day who turnes into a polyester-clad stallion of the local nightclub at night.

Every weekend he slips into his white flares, pulls on his slim-fit shirt and hits the streets to walk the walk, talk the talk and move to the grooves of the disco beat.

Every week he clears the dance floor with his phenomenal dance routines.

But as the club lights snap on at the end of the night and the real world returns Tony and his disco obsessed friends must face the harsh truth of growing up in the tough urban jungle of New York.

Featuring 12 top 10 disco classics, including Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, How Deep Is Your Love, You Should Be Dancing and Tragedy, Saturday Night Fever brings the mean streets of New York City to life.

Originally premiered at the London Palladium in 1998 this multi-million pound production has gone on to conquer Broadway and cities across the globe.

Released in 1978 the film of the same name made Oscar nominee John Travolta an instant Hollywood legend and inspired the now definitive disco soundtrack by The Bee Gees.

Featuring more than 30 of the country's hottest young performers and one of the best live bands around Saturday Night Fever is touring Britain throughout the year following recent sell out dates in Europe.
