TWO friends who are celebrating a small revival thanks to the wonders of the Internet will be entertaining an audience at the Chester Gateway on May 7.

Comedian, writer and television presenter Clive James and Radio 4 producer Pete Atkin have produced six albums together over the course of their colourful careers.

And 30 years since their first venture, the duo are back in demand, thanks largely to the amount of people searching the Internet for their songs.

In response, all of the albums have now been re-released and some of their lyrical, emotive songs, performed by Pete Atkin, will make up part of the evening's entertainment at the Gateway, on Wednesday, May 7.

Between songs, Clive will entertain in his own inimitable way, meandering back through his career as he recollects a selection of colourful events and shows why he has become one of Britain's adopted treasures.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.45pm, are priced £15 or £13 for concessions.

They are available by ringing the box office on 01244 340392.
