THE Fodens Richardson Band will be performing a concert of classic brass at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday, May 3.
Recently crowned north west champion band and current champion of England, the band will take to the stage at 7.30pm.
Entitled Cathedral Brass, the show features guest cornet virtuoso David Daws, who until recently was the principal cornet play of the international staff band.
The programme will feature Suite Gothique by Leon Boellman, Philip Wilby's Lowry Sketchbook and the Overture Le Roi Dy's by Lalo.
David Daws has chosen to perform the cornet classics Golden Slippers and Wondrous Day.
The Fodens Richardson Band hails from Sandbach in Cheshire and is one of the most famous brass bands in the world, having won every major brass band title.
Tickets for the show are priced £10 and £8 for concessions and are available from the box office by calling 0161 907 9000.
