SO it's the final week of Boot Camp and I've a feeling it's going to be a tough one!

Monday night's session was described by Stu as 'interval training'.

To the uninitiated (me!) this doesn't mean taking regular breaks, it means running as fast as you can UP a hill and more slowly down it! But far from being as straight forward as that, we had to do this over and over again and over longer and longer distances!

It was a really good work-out and we were all exhausted at the end.

With the final weigh-in looming this weekend, everyone on this six-week programme is buzzing.

Despite the occasional moan and groan as you're put through your paces, everyone can feel the benefit of attending the course.

As well as losing pounds and/or inches in varying degrees, everyone agrees they feel a lot fitter and healthier.

For me personally, the best thing is I'm finally out of 'couch potato' mode and determined to keep up regular exercise once this programme is finished.

Several people on this course also attend Stu's weekly Tuesday sessions and some even have weekly one-to-one sessions.

One member started his one-to-one training in April and has lost an incredible three stone since then.

He said: "I have an hour's session a week because I can commit to that and it's worked wonders. I haven't dieted as such, but I am more careful now about what I eat. The biggest difference to me is the amount of water I drink. I never used to drink that much of it but now I realise how beneficial it is.

"I feel great after losing the weight and getting fit and know I can maintain it - it's a complete lifestyle change."
