AN ATTRACTIVE sunken garden has been unveiled at a Bowdon park.
TV weatherman Fred Talbot opened the green haven at Denzell Gardens.
Dignitaries including MP Graham Brady looked on - not only to celebrate the opening, but also toast the hard work and success of the Friends group who had campaigned long and hard to raise £11,500 to restore the garden to its former glory.
Committee members Chris Baker and Shirley Fidler redesigned the garden from scratch and Theresa Graham and Jan Elstub, also committee members, brought the event to life on the day by creating a post-war 1950s theme.
The Friends of Denzell Gardens and the Devisdale are now looking for financial support for their new project – a peace garden.
