Passengers will be pleased to see that Manchester Airport is so far operating relatively normally today, given recent disruption due to a National Air Traffic Services fault.
There can be many reasons for delayed or cancelled flights, including adverse weather, air traffic control restrictions, aircraft arriving late from previous flights or crew-related issues.
Minor issues can quickly cause knock-on effects that create issues for multiple flights in multiple destinations.
