The 237-home scheme, named VIVERE Residencies, will be built near Cornbrook Metrolink station and includes an 88-key aparthotel.
Developer Forshaw Land and Property Group, in partnership with Peel Waters, secured Building Safety Act Gateway 2 approval for the development, which sits within the Manchester Waters masterplan.
The milestone means work can now begin on the mixed-use development.

The project is supported by a £64.2 million development finance facility from real estate finance provider Maslow Capital—the third deal between the firm and Forshaw Land and Property Group.
Located next to Cornbrook Metrolink station and VOX Manchester, the scheme will offer a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, plus five penthouses.
Amenities for residents will include a 24-hour concierge, gym, co-working lounge, meeting rooms, private dining space, cinema, and coffee bar.
The VIVERE aparthotel, part of Forshaw Group’s new hospitality brand, will offer short-stay accommodation for visitors.
Peel Waters enabled the redevelopment of the site through a complex land assembly process.
The plot, acquired by Forshaw from Peel Waters in 2024 after securing the planning consent, sits at the entrance to Pomona Island—a focal point of Peel Waters’ broader vision for a waterside neighbourhood with housing and green spaces.

"Unlocking this site has been a key priority for us and through careful land assembly and long-term planning, we’ve created the opportunity for high-quality developments like VIVERE Cornbrook to come forward."
The VIVERE project forms part of the broader Manchester Waters vision, which also includes St George’s Island, Pomona Island, and Embassy Village Manchester—the UK’s first purpose-built village for homeless people.
DOMIS have been appointed as the main contractor on the scheme, with construction of VIVERE Residences to commence in July.
