A new immersive experience based on the PAC-MAN video game franchise is set to launch in the UK.
Little Lion Entertainment, known for its augmented reality (AR) experiences, joined forces with Bandai Namco Entertainment to create the "PAC-MAN Live Experience".
The companies say it will be an "unprecedented" experience for players.
Little Lion Entertainment is noted for its attractions, including The Crystal Maze Live Experiences, Tomb Raider: The Live Experience, and Chaos Karts.
Bandai Namco Entertainment, a global video game publisher, is most well-known for its entertainment franchises, including PAC-MAN, Tekken, and Elden Ring.
The collaboration between the two companies promises an 'exciting addition' to the world of augmented reality and location-based entertainment.
The game will see players become "PAC-People", navigating through levels to collect "power pellets" and fruit while avoiding ghosts and accumulating points.
The mazes will be brought to life around the players using augmented reality.
Chief executive of Little Lion Entertainment, Tom Lionetti-Maguire, said: "We are ecstatic to collaborate with Bandai Namco Entertainment, the pioneers of one of the most beloved video games in history.
"Their expertise and collaboration in our creative vision have been invaluable in ensuring that our live experience remains authentic to the original game, while offering a fresh and thrilling twist in bringing this into a fully playable 360-degree digital world."
The acquisition of The Games Arenas, the home of Chaos Karts, by Little Lion Entertainment, "paved the way" for this new venture.
Aadil Tayouga, licensing and business strategy director at Bandai Namco Europe, said: "This new experience perfectly aligns with PAC-MAN, offering something fun and entertaining that appeals to both children and adults.
"We can’t wait for people to discover this innovative and truly unique experience created by our partner at Little Lion Entertainment, bringing PAC-MAN to a whole new field while staying true to the franchise’s values."
The launch of this attraction is expected to "redefine" location-based experiences, combining physical activity with digital gameplay.
The aim is to transform everyday locations into a playground with challenges and surprises.
With multiple mazes and up to 12 different levels, including a new bonus game, the PAC-MAN Live Experience promises to be an 'adventurous journey' for participants.
The experience is designed to be accessible to all guests, with an age range of eight to 80.
The PAC-MAN Live Experience will be rolled out in select cities across the globe, with plans for expansion based on demand.
