A man has been charged after a 52-year-old man was pushed down a flight of stairs and left with "life-changing injuries".
Police were called to the Causeway in Altrincham following the incident, which happened at around 2.10am on Saturday.
The victim remains in hospital following the attack.
Niall Peak, 32, of no fixed address, has now been charged with grievous bodily harm.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday, July 15.
