A MAN and a woman have been charged with falsely imprisoning a man and attempting to rob him.

David Humphreys and Amanda Oglesbury appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with a series of offences in Glynarthen from between March 5 and 7.

The pair were accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent against a man between those dates. They also faced an alternative lesser charge of inflicting GBH.

The defendants were also charged with attempted robbery, relating to the attempted taking of money from the same complainant.

They were also accused of the false imprisonment of the man.

Humphreys, 55, of the B4334 in Rhydlewis, was charged with possessing a shotgun without a certificate, relating to a side-by-side double-barrelled shotgun on March 6.

Both he and Oglesbury, 38, of Ocean Way in the Sandfields area of Port Talbot, pleaded not guilty to all charges.

They were remanded in to custody, and will face a trial on August 12.
