A popular pub in Bolton which shocked customers by closings its doors earlier this month is hoping to open again next week.

Regulars at The Courthouse Restaurant and Bar in the centre of the town found the business had closed its doors.

Owner Husky Faldu revealed this was due to "emergency works" and said it would be a short term closure.

Mr Faldu said he hopes to open next week.

He said: "We're looking to be open from next week.

"I'll have a definite date to reopen by the end of the week."

The grade II listed building was taken over in 2018 from previous owners who had run it at Harvey’s Café Bar.

It underwent a £350,000 refurbishment when it was taken over.

Two years ago  it underwent a reopening to welcome customers back in.

Food is served at the venue from Tuesday through to Sunday from 12pm, and customers can buy a drink up until last orders which is typically at 9.30pm.

The bar’s most popular drink is believed to be its Ice Ice Baby cocktail.
