Stretford Mall's multi-storey car park is set to close at the start of next week as a part of the redevelopment of the town centre.

Work is already underway with one scheme on King Street and a separate scheme on Kingsway in line for completion this year.

As a part of the redevelopment of the town centre, in particular the scheme on King Street, the multi-storey car park is in line for a refurbishment to improve its accessibility, safety and security for the community.

It is set to close at the start of next week and for an unspecified space of time with a replacement, temporary car park set up between the entrance to the shopping centre and St Matthew's Church in the interim.

A post on social media said there is to be signage from this weekend to ensure a "smooth transition".

The post on social media said: "While we anticipate a smooth transition we recommend allowing some time to navigate the updated system.

"We appreciate your cooperation as we embark on this exciting next phase of the transformation."

The replacement, temporary car park is open 7am to 7pm apart from on Sundays (9am to 4.30pm).
