Police are appealing for assistance from the public to trace a missing woman from Sale.

Christine, whose surname was not shared in a post on social media by GMP Trafford, was last seen on Haydock Avenue at around 3.30am today (Wednesday).

Police said the 54-year-old is white, around 5ft 4in tall, with blonde hair. She was wearing a black coat, black trousers and black shoes. Officers are increasingly concerned for her welfare, they said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact police on 101 or the LiveChat on gmp.police.uk.

They can contact police on 999 in an emergency.
